Saturna Island is 31 square kilometres, and has a small population of 250. The island has a number of beds & breakfasts and some cottages but no campgrounds. The island is popular with cyclists, and has less-frequent ferry service than the other islands. There are two stores and a pub on the island.

Mount Warburton Pike is the 490 metre tall highpoint of the island, with a winding gravel road through an ecological reserve. It is named for a local pioneer, sportsman and author. Winter Cove Marine Park is off the shore of Winter Cove Road is a protected 91 hectare area of underwater beauty surrounded by forests and small marshes. East Point Light is the site of an 1888 lighthouse and marks the most easterly point of the Canadian Gulf Islands. From here you can see the US Coast Guard Station on Patos Island and the other San Juan Islands. This is one of the best places to see killer whales in the summer. The wildlife is attracted to the strong tides that rip around the point.
