From Portugal Cove Route 40 takes you along the coast past beautiful roadside farming communities nestled above the shoreline. At the Thorburn Road junction you are in the midst of the fishing community of St. Phillips, where you can stroll on the wharf and take great pictures of the friendly fishermen going about their business. Continue further along the coast to Conception Bay South, an amalgamation of small towns.
