  • This 2,000 resident town was named by the CPR for an aboriginal's skull found near the railway station by a survey crew. Others say the town is named for the westerly peak of a group of hills to the southeast, commonly called "the head" or "Indian Head," based on an early missionary's reference based on a translation of its aborginial name Ustiquanuci.
