Trans-Canada Highway: Saskatchewan Speedtraps

TCH #1
Trans Canada Hwy 1, McLean
1) When traveling east on the #1, several miles past McLean, SK is a shallow coulee. The Mounties from both Regina and Indian Head use this as a radar trap area. The coulee is almost invisible when approaching from the west. 2) 10-15 miles either side of Swift Current, SK Very alert Mounties.
Hwy 39, Yellowgrass:
(just south of Regina, Saskatchewan). There is a police officer who regularly sits in the town, just waiting for someone to exceed the 50 km/h speed limit. (The town is the only one on the highway,which makes you slow down from 100 km/h highway maximum). If you are going through Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan, maintain the speed limit, or you will be GUARANTEED of getting a speeding ticket.
Saskatoon
Hanley, Dundurn
There are two communities, one called Hanley and the other called Dundurn. Dundurn is the location of a Canadian Forces Base, incidentally. However, the stretch of twinned highway between these two towns is one of those few areas in central Saskatchewan that has a number of rolling hills and valleys. Of course this is an ideal location for them to set up their hidden traps and pitfalls. They hide just over the hill, and beware! There are sometimes two of them! So when you see someone already pulled over and you laugh and say "better you than me, buddy!", you may not be laughing very heartily once you crest that hill and see the grinning face of another of Canada's finest. The hills are alive with the sound of music, and it's that annoying, two-tone heterodyning wail favoured by law-enforcement agencies.
