This town was built in 1970 around a specialty pulp mill for the St Annes Pulp and Paper Company and is home to the largest axe in the world. The stream through the middle of town was Nelgwaaweegek" in Maliseeet, meaning "straight steam," which it was before the flooding by the Mactaquac Lake.

This 63' bridge is located near Nackawic off Route 585 above Millville at Nortondale. It is on a secondary and is difficult to reach by car, but is open to traffic if you can get to it. It was built in 1927 by Howe Truss and has a span of 60'.
