    Bellevue Park
    Located on Queen St. east of Pine St.
    The park is full of small botanical gardens, also a greenhouse. Take the children to join in the fun at the play area or catch a performance at the amphitheatre. Available to is a concession building, washrooms and parking. The park is along the shore of the St. Mary's River.

    This collection of stores, restaurants and activities sets you back in the 1800s. Look around in the park at the life size carvings, telling stories of different areas. There is also native Sculptures, Canadian Wildlife and much more.

    Home to the worlds largest back lit art mural, as well the park and tent pavilion are a meeting place for the many local events and festivals. The area itself was named after the first woman Astronaut in space, Dr. Roberta Bondar. Take an enjoyable stroll down the boardwalk viewing the unique carvings around the area.

    Wishart Park
    Located 1 mile east of Hwy 17N on Fourth Line
    You'll find lots to do here, with over 80 acres of picnicking, hiking and fishing.

    55 km north of the Sault on Highway 17
    These falls can easily be viewed from the highway, but visitors are offered a small picnic area, overlooking the falls, as it plunges to Lake Superior. Hiking trails lead into the forest along the river. This point is also the mid-point of the Trans-Canada Highway.

    Chutes Provincial Park
    Just off Highway 17, near Massey
    This park contains several scenic waterfalls and is popular for camping, fishing and picnicking. An exhibit at Graveyard Rapids discusses the hazards of the log-driving era at the turn of the century on the Aux Sables River.

    Lake Superior beach Gros Cap
    552 (2nd Line, west of city)
    This wilderness park, west of the Sault, lies on the shore of Lake Superior. Rocky shores and forest covered hills are impressive to see, photograph or paint. Facilities include a boat launch, an inn with restaurant and lounge.

    Harmony Beach, Batchwana Bay
    32 km north of the Sault on Highway 17

    Harmony Beach is 32 km north of the Sault, and Batchwana Bay is a further 24 km. Harmony beach is a beautiful beach, with a campground and a hotel. Batchwana Bay offers miles of beaches, picnic areas, hotels, restaurants and gift shops.
    Boasting 3.2 Km of stunning beaches (though the water might be a little cold, being located on the eastern shore of Lake Superior) makes this an excellent place to stop for a swim. The park has 325 campsites with over half of them having electricity. Many opportunities for hiking, swimming, boating and fishing. You are able to reserve a campsite from the first Friday in May to the Canadian Thanksgiving.

    Batchwana Bay & Pancake Bay Provincial Park

    Beautiful Batchwana Bay has a 1.6 km long beach for day-use swimming and picnicking. The water here warms up a bit better in this somewhat sheltered bay on Lake Superior. 5 km up the highway is Pancake Bay with its views of the open Lake Superior. This park as a 3 km long beach, 325 campsites (169 with electrical outlets) and offers magnificent recreational possibilities including swimming, sunbathing, boating and trout fishing. Campground is open from early May to Canadian Thanksgiving (October)

    Point des Chenes
    On Airport Rd, 12 miles west on Hwys. 550 and 565

    The park, 20 minutes west of town, is where the St Mary's River begins at Lake Superior. It is just south of the airport and has great swimming conditions with its sandy beaches. It is popular with sunbathers and wind surfers. Campsites with showers and a dumping station are available.
