Searchmont is small mountain community of 300 inhabitants. Located among some of the most beautiful scenery in central North America. For the past 100 years the valleys and mountains have been resounding the whistle of the Algoma Central Railway.
Visit Goulais River(now a Provincial Waterway Park) and see the shear three hundred foot rock escarpments. There many rivers to travel, hidden lakes to discover and trails to hike. Enjoy downhill & cross-country skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, bird watching, hunting, star gazing, ATV tours, mountain biking, canoeing, dog sledding or snowshoeing. Anglers will appreciate our lakes and rivers which are home to the Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Brook and Lake Trout and Sturgeon, fall promises an opportunity to catch a King, Coho, or Pink Salmon.
The ski resort's 680 ft. vertical and great Northern Ontario "lake effects" snow entices skiers back again and again.

This mountain features a 680 ft vertical, with the longest snowboard park in the Midwest, 18 runs(up to a mile long), 50 km of nordic trails, snow shoe trails and a tubing park. Very cozy chalets with Fireplace, Sauna and outdoor whirlpool.
