Batoche National Historic Site

Visit what remains of Batoche, a village which used to be the Centre of Metis settlement in the North West Territories during the late 1800's. You'll find the Caron Senior Farmhouse, St. Antoine de Padoue church, a rectory restored to 1896 and trenches and riflepits used by the North West Field Force. There's also a visitor reception centre with an exhibit hall holding exceptional audio-visual presentation, handicrafts. Open from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving Day(May to October), 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Diefenbaker Canada Centre is the only Canadian public institution of its kind, focusing on John Diefenbaker, Canada's thirteenth Prime Minister. Exhibits include replica rooms of his office and the Privy Council Chamber. The Centre also holds one of the finest views of the city. Open on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., (Tues., Wed, Thurs, open until 8:00 p.m.) on Sundays and holidays its open from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for seniors and children.

Kenderdine Art Gallery

Memorial Library and Art Gallery

Started as a institute dedicated to students who lost there lives in the First World War. It currently holds 85 paintings and woodcuts by Canadian artists. Open September 1st to July 30. Hours vary with season. Admission is free with donations accepted. The facility has limited wheelchair access.
Mendel Art Gallery & Civic Conservatory

Works of contemporary and historical Canadian art are displayed. Showcases the permanent collection of Mendel's work. Unusual plants are on display in the Conservatory. Musee Ukrania Museum

This museum includes a variety of ethnic collections from Europe's largest country. Interpretive tours of the exhibits show Ukrainian history form prehistory to massive 20th century emigrations. Eastern Byzantine architecture and inconography is viewed at the adjacent catheral. Open daily 11 am to 5 pm, Sunday 1pm to 5 pm. Admission: $2 for adults and students.
Museum of Antiquities
The collection consist of replicas purchased from the Louvre, the British Museum, the Museum of Antiquities in Delphi, the Acropolis Museum in Athens, as well as many others. in 1981, new facilities were acquired, and the collection was officially opened as the "Museum of Antiquities."
Museum of Natural Sciences
The highlight of this museum is the 20 foot high T-Rex skeleton. Exhibits of other live mammals, bird, fish, and reptiles, minerals and exotic plants are showcased as well. Free to the public,

The majority of the animal exhibits are domestic species of North America. Examples of what you'll see are bears, foxes, moose, waterfowl, bison and wolves. There is also a petting zoo with many friendly animals for the entire family to enjoy. Have lunch at one the beautiful picnic sites while enjoying the botanical displays. Those more athletic in the family can take advantage of ski trails, sports fields and fishing ponds. Train rides are available taking you throughout the zoo. Open daily from May 1 to Labour Day, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, from Labour Day to April 30 the hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm; The Zoo hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. St. John's Anglican Cathedral

This historic Cathedral and Columbarium is located downtown on the South Saskatchewan River. Recognized by its 145 ft. tower, masterful stained glass windows and unique rood screen. St. Thomas Art Gallery

The majority of artists that show work here are local, usually with some university training or have seriously studied art under qualified instructors. All works are original. Open from September 15th until April 30th.

The "Cathedral of Methodism" was built in 1912-1913. The interior reflects gothic design built without any pillar support. One of the features making this Cathedral unique are the three large stained glass windows with life size figures, depicting the Nativity, the Sermon on the Mount and the Last Supper. One other point of interest is the Casavant three-manual pipe organ complete with all 39 stops and over 2400 pipes. Throughout the day, you can hear hymns exiting the carillons in the west tower. This museum interprets the early settlement and culture of the Ukrainian people in Canada, including costumes, embroidery, Easter eggs and folk arts. This National Historic Site includes a ongoing archeological excavation uncovering evidence of over 6,000 years of human habitation. The visitor centre interprets the history and culture of the Northern Plains Indians. There are self-guided trails, plus a restaurant, gift shop and art gallery. Open Victoria Day to Labour Day 9 am to 9 pm. Winter hours 9 am to 5 pm. Restaurant open Wednesday to Sunday 11 am to 3 pm. Recommended time: at least 2 hours. Admission $6 adults, $2.50 children, $4.50 seniors, $15 family.

The museum belongs to a network of four exhibit branches in the cities of Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton, with the headquarters in Saskatoon.
