Forest Fire Danger-Closure
AB: 1) Yellowhead Highway #16 CLOSED east of Jasper due to fire near Athabasca River. No traffic permitted west of Hinton, AB
2) Entire Jasper National Park under evacuation order. The town of Jasper wsas evacuated last night with two forest fires only 12 kilometres from the town. Overnight all accomodation and cam pgrounds were evactuated in teh National Park
3) Highway 93 (Icefields Parkway) is CLOSED due to wildfire between Kerkeslin Campground and Athabasca Falls. There is no traffic permitted between Saskatchewan River Crossing (Highway 11) and Jasper (Highway 16). No ETA for re-opening.
