The section between Hope and Princeton was damaged by mudslide/rockslide during the flooding in November 2021. It was cleaned up and rebuilding is continuing at this time.
As of Dec 21, Highway 3 has opened up to general travel. Truckers should take the Coquihalla #5 to/from Kamloops
though to get to Penticton take the 3A from Keremeos north to Highway 97). Head north on the Highway 97 through/past Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, and Sicamous. At Sicamous, head east of the main #1 TransCanada route to Revelstoke.
The route has one lane in each direction (and an occasional passing lanes), and moves at the speed of the slowest vehicle on the road. So please be patient.
