Montgomery’s Inn

Montgomery’s Inn, once a stop on the colonial coach road between Toronto and Hamilton, has been restored to its 1847 heyday. Take a tour of the historic museum. The Inn has a Tea Room, meeting rooms, and party facilities which are available to rent. Convenient to local walking and recreational trail along the Humber River. There’s also a gift shop with hundreds of unique items for sale.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm. Closed Mondays and Statutory Holidays (except Valentines Day, Victoria Day and Canada Day when the museum is open for special event celebrations). Admission $$

York Museum

York Museum preserves the economic, political and social history of the former City of York (now part of the new City of Toronto) through photographs, objects, and artifacts. York has had a distinct legacy dating back to 1850, and was subdivided as the region grew in the 1800s. The northern portion became North York, and the eastern pocket became East York, leaving York as the smallest of the municipalities that now form metropolitan Toronto. The community of 150,000 has residents of Vietnamese, South Asian, Filipino and Latin American heritage, with religions ranging from Roman Catholic to Jewish to Rastafarian. Wheelchair accessible. Admission is free, Free parking at the York Civic Centre.

TTC: Eglinton West station (on the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line) and take the #32 Eglinton West bus west to Municipal Drive (just west of Keele Street). Keele station (on the Bloor-Danforth subway line) and take the #41 Keele bus to Eglinton and walk west one block.
