QU: Construction traffic closures/restrictions affect 2 areas of Montreal along AutoRoute 40 and AutoRoute 25:
- from the Ile aux Tourtes Bridge across Lake of Two Mountains (Lac des Deux Montagnes) to the exits for Morgan, Chemin Sainte-Marie or St-Charles, on the West Island is down one lane for repaving; and
- AutoRoute 25 from Between Sherbrooke Street and Île Charron (south end of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel) are down one lane and lanes are reduced to 3.2 meters
Avoiding the Chaos
TO AVOID travel chaos and delay, take AutoRoute 20 from the west (instead of 40), and AutoRoute 10 from the south (instead of 25), if you need to get/through Montreal.

Use the AutoRoute 30 Southern Bypass to miss Montreal Island completely:
